Our Health Coach Certificate programme takes 12-months to complete. Our online training consists of 10 modules. Module access will be provided every month, over 10 months and students will have the following month to watch the video lectures as many times as they like. The remaining 2 months are for students to complete their final projects required for graduation.
This course is delivered fully online and we welcome students from every part of the world.
Our sessions are always recorded, so you can watch them later. However, we strongly encourage attendance at all live lectures if possible.
Each module offers 7 to 10 hours of content subdivided into short, digestible sub-topics and whilst you have one month to review each module you have access to rewatch the material as many times as you need during your year of study.
Yes, but not in the traditional sense. Since the course is fully integrated as a holistic experience, many of our homework assignments include preparing different recipes, fermenting foods, and practicing health coaching. It is still important to complete them, because then you will be more equipped and confident after the course. You will also have to complete reading for each module. There is also a final project due at graduation.
This varies per person, but we recommend setting aside 6-10 hours per week to process course material in addition to the time needed to complete the 10 modules.
In order to graduate, students must complete the following assignment, in addition to homework throughout the course:
Coach 1 client for up to 3 months and complete follow-up report; Build a health programme on a topic of choice and trial this on 2nd client; Create accompanying Health Coaching templates and materials for use with future clients
Yes! Whether you intend to become a health coach or not, this program will give you the skills to motivate, incentivize and instill confidence in those looking to heal themselves, improve their energy levels, and stave off modern degenerative diseases by changing their eating habits for the better. Our online business module will give you practical knowledge for developing your future career in the holistic health field as a Health Coach and Longevity Diet expert.
Although it may seem like a recent phenomenon, AHN faculty and graduates have pioneered successful holistic health coaching practices around the world for decades. Over the past 30 years, many alumni have gone on to launch their own health coaching businesses, open their own wellness centers (and schools!), become private chefs, enhance their yoga teacher trainings or massage therapy practices, while others have incorporated their training in a myriad of ways— like wellness copywriting, consulting with wellness startups, recipe testing, and more. While we honor plant-based principles and incorporate many of them in our course, we do not subscribe to any dogmas around food. At AHN, we teach something called the “Longevity Diet,” which was co-developed by founder Roger Green and deeply inspired by cultures of longevity around the world. This includes Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, Ayurveda principles, Blue Zone information, and so much more. We will educate you on all the food groups and empower you to make your own dietary decisions by tuning into your individual constitution and ethos. We have had several vegans and vegetarians join and thrive in the course.
We currently do not have any openings for scholarship options.
Many, if not most, of our students complete the course whilst having a full time job.
Classes are pre-recorded or live on zoom monthly or bi-monthly. We offer interactive lectures such as cook alongs with our faculty to experience hands-on teachings, interact with fellow students, and ask questions.
