Introduction to food as medicine

In this short course you will be introduced to the eastern, holistic approach to health and nutrition, learning the foundational principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Daoist philosophy, and how food can be used as medicine for longevity and the prevention and treatment of dis-ease.

These ancient modalities offer a different perspective to what we know today in the West; teaching us how to connect with the energetic nature of foods and the interactions they have on our mind, body and spirit. 

We guide you through how to understand and apply these principles through 18 theory videos (totaling 6.5 hours), diving deep into topics such as Yin/Yang theory, food energetics, the thermal temperatures of food, Five Element theory, and the key ingredients of the Longevity Diet. Students also receive additional Study Guides, charts, and other resources to supplement their learning.

By the end of the course you will be able to confidently make informed, healthful dietary choices for yourselves and your families and adapt your diet for the seasons, illness, and the fluctuations of life.

About the Instructor

This Food as Medicine short course is taught by renowned holistic health expert and founder of the Academy Healing Nutrition, Roger Green. As a lifelong student of Eastern and Western healing techniques including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, longevity science, energy healing, feng shui and more, Roger is a teacher of sought-after workshops and trainings in over 70 countries. After opening one of the first alternative healing clinics in Sydney in the 1970's, he went on teaching holistic healing, TCM and longevity science through Academy Healing Nutrition.
