Medicinal Mushroom Elixir Recipe

The reishi mushroom and gynostemma tea in this Tonic Herbal Elixir nourish all three of our Treasures and support our body's adaptability.

Ingredients

• 12 oz warm gynostemma or nettles tea (used as a base)
• 1 Tbsp coconut oil (a healthy fat to optimise absorption) 
• 1 Tbsp tocotrienols (rice fiber) or nut butter (a thickener to slow transit time and optimise absorption)
• 1 Tbsp raw cacao and 1 tsp lucuma, if available (nutrition boosting superfoods) 
• 1 tsp powdered reishi mushroom (immune regulating, adaptogenic)
• 1 tsp raw honey (wholesome sweeteners provide vitamins, minerals, enzymes)
• a pinch of Himalayan salt (a "messenger" that drives the action of the herbs deeper into the body)
• ¼ tsp cardamom powder (flavourful spice to warm the thermal temperature of the elixir and detoxify the kidneys and bladder)

Directions

Combine all ingredients in a blender; process well and enjoy.
