Take Inspiration From Our Students’ Projects

photo by Matthew Henry

There is something that only you can do, in a way that only you can.

What matters to you? What do you feel passionate about?

Giving form to your passions and values is how you build the life and livelihood you are here for.

There are so many shapes this could take. Here we share what some of our students have created through our course and now offer professionally. May this small sampling fire up your imagination, and inspire you to manifest your own right work in the world.

Kristina Meyers, AHN class of 2020

www.hautlistic.com

@hautelistic

Kristina designed a 22-day program for gut healing that considers the impact of emotions and stress upon our microbiome. She offers reflective questions and a habit tracker to support lifestyle changes and cultivate self-knowledge. Her approach is rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic philosophy, and includes resources for identifying your dosha (or constitution) and determining which foods create and which disrupt balance for each body type. She also provides guides to filling your pantry and to gut-friendly recipes.

Julia Quinn, RN, AHN Class Of 2020

@jqplus

Julia, a registered nurse, created “Caring for the Caregivers: A Wellness Guide for Nurses” that uses diet and mindfulness to address the physical and emotional demands on healthcare workers. Qi tonifying recipes and meal plans are offered to nurture digestion and heal the adrenal fatigue and kidney Qi deficiency that accompany chronic stress. Recommendations for cultivating healthy sleep and movement practices allow nurses to nourish themselves in the face of long shifts and difficult working conditions, and connect them to sources of replenishment.

Amelie Jochums, AHN class of 2021

www.amelieshealth.com

@amelies_homemade

Amelie applies a holistic, whole foods cooking approach to caring for female bodies and menstrual health. Her three-month program helps clients familiarize themselves with their cycles, and includes guidance for charting and for using food, exercise and mindfulness to heal and support their bodies. Amelie provides strategies and recipes for building blood, highlighting the relationship between hormonal and gut health and offering a powerful way to tune into the body’s wisdom.
